| Every Lifetime Retiree Has A Special Story To Tell |
Achieve |
Achieve is a magnificant near-white Thoroughbred with extensive race earnings. After racing, Achieve enjoyed life as an adopted trail horse. He loved to jump and always moved beautifully like a dressage horse. Achieve has trouble staying sound now and was retired to Cabin Creek in 2008. He manages just fine with Holcomb and the other retirees. |
| Arrow's Flight |
Arrow is a magnificent 6-year-old dark bay Thoroughbred with lifetime earnings of $134,300 in 25 starts at the track. Arrow was injured and vanned-off the track during his last race at Monmouth Park. He has healed at Cabin Creek over the past year from a severe ankle injury and bowed tendon. Arrow has always been a wonderful horse, and has returned to our farm on many occasions.
Although still rehabilitating from his bowed tendon, Arrow has healed wonderfully, and will allways have a special place in the hearts of the Pointers.

Marv has a special following of supporters who want Marv to find the very best of new homes. Marv is very people-oriented and has many years ahead to succeed as someone's very special soulmate. Marv is thoroughly enjoying his newest companion and is doing just fine. He even participates now in an occasional Sunday foxhunt.

The Pearlster
The Pearlster is a beautiful dark gray/roan mare with striking black mane and tail. "Pearl" was foaled in 2008 and is only 3 years old. Pearl has the special following of a sponsor who is helping us give Pearl the time she needs to properly heal from recent injuries. Pearl wasn't the greatest racehorse, but she certainly is the greatest companion and pasture pal. Pearl gets along great with all of the retirees. Pearl is loving her new farm-life and is doing just fine. |

Endless Pleasure
Endless Pleasure is a unique dark-caramel colored bay Thoroughbred with dark mane and tail. In the summer, her coat seems on-fire and she stands out as a real beauty. Endless is Florida-bred and was foaled in 2000. Endless was a successful racehorse winning $62,010 with 29 starts, including 4 firsts, 4 seconds, and 4 thirds; and then she was a broodmare starting in 2005. Her last foal was weaned in 2010 and she was adopted out to folks as a trail horse.
Because of recent hoof problems, Endless has had trouble staying sound and has returned to the farm as a Lifetime Retiree. She is Mom's favorite!

| Muddle Huddle |
Muddle Huddle is one of the most gorgeous and blackest dark-bay Thoroughbreds around. Muddle is Pennsylvania-bred and was foaled in 2005. Muddle was a successful racehorse with 23 starts, including 5 firsts, 4 seconds, and 4 thirds, before thrush, contracted at the track, abruptly ended his racing career.
Muddle's recovery from severe case of thrush involved the extremely slow process of regrowing his entire hoof. He can now enjoy light trail riding with shoes. Cabin Creek has accepted Muddle into their Lifetime Retirement program and will provide additional layup care if ever needed.

Defrere The Smile |
Defrere The Smile is a rich mahogony red bay. He has a screw in his knee from a past racing injury and is sound about 50% of the time. Defrere gets along great with all of his rescued buddies and is a wonderful pasture pal.

| Bertrando's Return |
Bertrando's Return is a very tall California-bred Thoroughbred gelding who won $63,845 racing, mostly in California. Bertrando loves life and has a great personality. He loves to play jokes on his pasture buddies. One day this spring a feed bag got away in the wind and Bertrando ran over, picked it up, and ran after the other horses while shaking the bag at them. You could literally see him laughing at the other horses for being such scaredy cats. He kept up the 'bag' game for hours.
Bertrando fractured his shin racing at Philadelphia Park in 2007. He was adopted following lay-up as a great foxhunter and trail horse. He was returned to Cabin Creek Rescue as a Lifetime Retiree in 2009.

Cover Model
Cover Model is a Florida-bred 7 year old chestnut mare with one of the biggest hearts ever. Cover ran 16 races with 3 firsts and $34,880 in purses. She finished her final races with two bad knees and still crossed the finish line. Cover wasn't sound enough for active riding but she still gets around okay. Her knee chips have now calcified so she is not in excessive pain, just moves a little stiff.
Cover Model as a Lifetime Retiree program will receive additional layup care whenever needed. |
| Diesel |

Diesel was 36 years old when he passed this summer after many years at the farm. Diesel was snow white, stocky, and had a spiked mane that reminded me of a Trojan horse. Diesel spent many years at the track ponying racehorses to the gate, including the Preakness! He was a true gentleman and spent many post-race years as a dependable kidsafe trail horse. Diesel is sadly missed by the Pointer family.

Holcomb |
Holcomb is a beautiful, tall dark bay Thoroughbred with an unbelievably extensive racing career. Holcomb spent many years after racing as a casual cross country paper-chaser and wonderful trail horse. Holcomb is now blind in one eye, has arthritis, but manages just fine with his best buddy Achieve. |
| D'Court's Speed |
Speedy is a gorgeous charcoal gray Thoroughbred with a super personality. His grandsire was famous Seattle Slew. He retired to Cabin Creek very lame in 2008 after everyone had given up on him. With 2 years rest and care Speedy has become a great pasture pal. |

Make It Final
Make It Final is a Maryland-bred chestnut gelding foaled in 2000. Final is unique in that he was born severely sway-backed, but has no idea that he has different conformation than the other horses. His swayback never interfered with his ability to run, as evidenced by his long racing career with 31 starts!
Final returned to Cabin Creek Rescue as a Lifetime Retiree after a few years as an adopted trail horse. He can still do some trail riding and seems to enjoy the adventure, but his swayed back makes him uncomfortable for the average rider. He will always have a home here at Cabin Creek. His best buddy is Red Hot Spots and they have been friends for the past 6 years.

| Must Win Soon |

Must Win Soon is a Florida-bred chestnut that earned $201,292 with 10 first place wins. He had ankle issues and was laid up at Turning Point Farm in 2007 until adopted, and later rescued by Cabin Creek from New Holland auction. He retired at Cabin Creek in 2008 and was placed into a home as a pasture pal in late 2009. |
Red Hot Spot |
"Red" is definitely the perfect nickname for Red Hot Spot, who is a gorgeous, Florida-bred RED chestnut Thoroughbred. Red won $145,820 in his 18 races. He set a track record at the Meadowlands Race Track in October 2003, at 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:02! Red had a very bad breakdown shortly after breaking that track record; but he is now living comfortably at Cabin Creek Rescue. "Final" is Red's best pasture buddy; and they act like two old retirees hanging around talking about the good ole days.
And a special thanks to all who worked hard to save "Red."

| Trieste's Honor |
Trieste's Honor earned $310,861, won the California Derby, and came in first place 10 times during his 6 year racing career. He retired at Cabin Cabin in 2008 with a right suspensory injury and was accepted by TRF in late 2009. |

Oh What A Doll
Oh What A Doll certainly was named appropriately because she is quite the beautiful doll. Plus she was quite the successful racehorse in her youth with over $130,000 in lifetime earnings. Doll is a dark, rich-colored bay with striking black-edged white markings. Doll retired from racing after an injury and became a successful broodmare with four foals total, and two of her foals now racing.
Oh What A Doll has spent many years touching the Pointers as she was laid-up recovering from injuries and as her foals were born. She has definitely earned her lifetime retirement at Cabin Creek Rescue and is even sound enough that she has become a perfect pasture pal and occasional trail horse.

| Outer Marker |
Memorial to Outer Marker passed in 2008 with tendon and suspensory injuries that never healed. |
Im Puzzled |
Puzzle is a very special horse. He is a chestnut Thoroughbred, but is covered with white spots all over his body. They even look like pieces of a puzzle. One vet says its depigmentation from being sun-sensitive; another vet says he probably has Michael Jackson's same skin malaise. Either way, he's unique. He raced at Penn National, which is where Tommy Pointer fell for him.
