Cabin Creek Rescue and Retirement Foundation is a non-profit charity organized in 2008 to help non-competitive racehorses transition to new careers; and to support a Lifetime Retirement Farm in Bernville, Pennsylvania, through your thoughtful donations to our Racehorse Retirement Fund.
Why Our Horses Succeed
At Cabin Creek, we focus on placing Thoroughbred horses that can no longer race, into safe and compassionate private homes through Our Retraining Stables. Our retirees are given a very good opportunity to succeed in their new homes for the following reasons:
- Our retirees are given the lay-up time needed to heal injuries and transition from the track.
- Our retraining stables rehabilitate each retiree prior to adoption, helping them "come off the track" both mentally and physically.
- Our retraining stables evaluate and retrain our retirees as needed so they will be able to prosper in their new home as pleasure, trail, dressage, event, and show horses.
- Our retraining stables interview adopting individuals to match-up the right horse with the right folks.
